Fresh site for Bosisto’s
The Abbott family, who have been harvesting around Inglewood for decades, said this was an exciting milestone for the business at the distillery opening on Thursday.

A NEW purpose-built, sustainable eucalyptus oil distillery will bring more jobs to the Loddon Shire region.
Bosisto’s opened its new facility at Kurraca, near Wedderburn, last Thursday surrounded by local officials, family members, workers and more.
The Abbott family, who have been harvesting around Inglewood for decades, said this was an exciting milestone for the business at the distillery opening on Thursday.
“As an Australian, family-owned business, we’re incredibly proud to make this investment to strengthen production capabilities for Australian eucalyptus oil and provide a platform for sustainable growth,” Bosisto’s chief executive Henry Minson said.
“We have been drawing on the natural qualities of eucalyptus oil since 1852.
“It’s incredibly versatile, from being a powerful antiseptic to a wonderful cleaner with a refreshing aroma people love. We’re proud to produce this amazing product in Australia.
Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil is made from the leaves of Eucalyptus Polybractea, also known as Blue Mallee, which is grown in the forest around Inglewood and Glenalbyn. The company makes a range of products sold in major supermarkets such as oils, cleaning sprays, laundry tablets and more.
Bosisto’s engaged regional suppliers throughout construction and seven new permanent jobs will be created, including five direct jobs on site.
Loddon Shire Council mayor Dan Straub said this was a great step for the economy and workforce of the area.
“Bosisto’s have been a part of our strong local community for many decades and this investment is a vote of confidence in our region, bringing advanced manufacturing technology, new jobs and indirect economic activity for local businesses and suppliers,” he said.
It was supported by the State Government’s Made in Victoria Manufacturing Growth Program.
