AN Inglewood couple is frustrated with the wait for stormwater work in their street.

Ken and Ursula Nott also say they have fears for the safety of students at St Mary’s Primary School forced to walk on the road because of the state of footpaths in Southey Street.

Ken said whenever there was heavy rain, water came gushing down the street and ran under property fences.

He said water would sometimes end up around houses a block away.

“We are frustrated. We have been asking since we built our home seven years ago and there have been more homes built in the street since then,” he said.

Ken and Ursula said they had installed a pipe in their driveway “otherwise it would wash away every time it rained”.

“And we’re always cleaning it out,” he said.
