A HISTORIC camping ground faces an uncertain future if the State Government baulks at funding installation of a $100,000 waste disposal plant. Overflowing effluent at Tarnagulla Recreation Reserve last week forced Loddon Shire Council to order a halt to camping in the historic precinct.
TOWNS across the region are ready to see their populations swell for the Easter weekend. Caravan parks, hotels and motels have reported bookings that will see them at capacity. The strong bookings continue the trend across the region since the Australia Day weekend as tourism operators look to continue recovery from last year’s COVID travel restrictions and lockdowns.
LAST Thursday’s 10.30am train arrived in Dingee with CWA members for a Northern Group gathering hosted by the Dingee branch.
