Five year intersection wait

A SWEEPING bend on the Wimmera Highway will finally be removed with Department of Transport confirming a start on work later this year.

The intersection with Bridgewater-Maldon road has been earmarked for upgrading since 2017.

Loddon Shire had listed the intersection as a priority project in its 2022 election year wishlist.

Last week, Newbridge district residents received letters from the department advising work would start, creating a T intersection.
