THREE Loddon businesses have won their battle against fines for alleged non-compliance with COVID regulations.
Wedderburn Fish and Chips, Wedderburn Produce and Garden and Boort’s George Tallis Hardware last Friday received letters from the State Government waiving the $1800 fines.
The Government backdown has been hailed a victory for common sense and local small businesses burdened with changing compliance complexities for two years.
The fines were issued during a blitz over more than three months by State Government authorised officers on local businesses.
