CLASSICAL music enthusiasts were warmed by performances in two historic Inglewood venues on Saturday when the month-long Keys of Gold festival made its second appearance in the town.

It was a capacity crowd at St Augustine’s Church for the morning recital where organist Thomas Heywood performed on the historic Fincham organ for a third time in 12 months.

His recital for last year’s festival saw an encore several months later.

This year, Heywood was joined by Lizzy Welsh on baroque violin for the festival recital to open a double day in Inglewood as the festival tours central Victoria in July.

Inglewood cafes were well patronised for lunch before enthusiasts headed to the town hall for an afternoon billed as Brilliant Bach.

Keys of Gold’s Inglewood performances are part of a three-year partnership with Loddon Shire to grow visitation to the town.
