Federal candidates were big spenders ... not
MINOR parties barely spent $15,000 on their candidate campaigns in Mallee at last May’s federal election.

Financial disclosures released by the Australian Electoral Commission on Tuesday show that One Nation’s Vaughan Williams declared spending $9572 in his tilt for the seat that includes Loddon communities.
Mr Williams also declared receiving a total of $8500 from three donors towards his campaign.
Libertarian Party candidate Jeff Barry declared campaign expenses of $3812 while Adam Veitch, who stood for Trumpet of Patriots, listed $1363 received from one donor. Family First’s Ashleigh Gray and Australian Citizens’ Party Chris Lahy declared they had not spent funds.
The disclosures did not capture individual spends for Greg Olsen (Labor), Nicole Rowan (Greens) and the Nationals’ Anne Webster who retained the safe seat with a slightly increased majority.
