WHEN Faye Holt joined Wedderburn Bowls Club in 1983, she followed husband Edwin in discovering the fun and fellowship of the sport.
Rolling bowls down the green followed the end of duties driving their children to Saturday tennis matches.
Faye has been heavily involved in the club ever since and has just been made a life member.
Over almost 40 years, she has served as president and secretary of the women’s section, delegate the the regional association, tournament secretary and catering manager ... and other roles.
And on the green, Faye has been part of five pennant premiership teams as well as in pairs and fours club championship teams.
“The senior lady members took me under their wing when I joined. I like bowls, love the people and the exercise,” said the spritely nonagenarian. LH PHOTO
