Farmers block access to VNI teams this morning near Boort
FARMERS have rallied between Boort and Lake Meran this morning as assessment teams for the controversial VNI West renewable energy transmission line attempt to access a property.

An estimated 30 people are at Colin and Mary Fenton's property denying access to the Transmission Victoria Company representatives trying to access the farm.
According to witnesses, there is doubt about the validity of identification produced by a TCV representative.
"(The representative) listened to Colin's points politely, acknowledged that access to the property was denied and then left.
"These people are being paid, with our money to do this up and down the proposed line, while we farmers take valuable time away from harvest -yeah gathering the food that keeps them keeping on -- unpaid. And we do this willingly and gladly because we are in the right."
