TERRICK West Poll Merinos has been awarded the double in the March-shorn fine ewe section at the Australian Sheep and Wool Show.
And in the medium wool March-shorn event, Loddon Valley studs filled two of the top four places after judges finished shuffling animals along the line in a large section with more than 30 entries.
Terrick West was awarded second place and Kedleston Park fourth. Longdale Park Merinos, Berrimal, continued its string of consistent showings by being named most successful fine/medium exhibitor at show.
Ross McGauchie, co-principal at Terrick West and a long-time member of the show’s organising team, said attendance had again been high across the show’s three days at Bendigo’s Prince of Wales Showgrounds.
