EDUCATION CELEBRATION: A very big year at Wedderburn
Wedderburn College looks back on 2025

In their 160th year of Education, Wedderburn finished the year on a high, continuing year long celebrations. At the end of year Awards Night, students were recognised for outstanding academic and personal excellence, as well as those upholding the schools values of Respect, Resiience and Responsibility.
Leaders of the college were honoured with esteemed awards, and those demonstrating excellence in specialist subjects.
A highlight of the evening was recognising the outstanding achievements of the two college Dux recipients. Lillian Stephenson was awarded the VCE Dux award for achieving an outstanding ATAR of 92.8. Lillian dedicated her year to studying, putting in many hours which were reflected in her fantastic results. She was also a School Captain of Wedderburn College in 2025. Travis Lowe was the 2025 VM Dux recipient. Travis demonstrated a great work ethic in 2025, achieving excellent Structured Workplace feedback, resulting in an apprenticeship with Holmes-Brown Floor & Window Coverings.
The year at Wedderburn College was one to remember, with some of the highlights being:
- The annual School Fete
- Camps and excursions offered to every year level
- The 160th celebrations of Education in Wedderburn
- The Reading Olympics
- Excellent attendance at all Sporting Events
Year 6 Graduation
Well done to Year 6 students who made excellent speeches at
the Graduation Presentation held at the Donaldson Park Complex
last week. It was a lovely way to say 'well done' to students for
finishing their first seven years of primary schooling and to wish
them 'all the best' for secondary school. Each student was
presented with a pen and a certificate. Thanks to the staff for
organising and to parents attending.

Joseph Lockhart Principal Award (runner up) : Zane Polkinghorne Literacy / English Award: Georgia Martin
Mathematics Award: Ryder Gault
Integrated Studies: Logan Roberts
Arts/ Music: Holly Gleisner
