SOIL scientist Theresa Chapman will visit the the Loddon next week speaking on soil ecosystem management and paddock soil biology.
The University of Tasmania soil ecologist will be at events organised by Loddon Plains Future Farming group.
She specialises in links between plant diversity and soil biology in farming systems.
Meanwhile, Agriculture Victoria says growers will be better equipped to manage soil constraints in their paddocks after the development of a three-dimensional mapping strategy,
The department says the trials will give a greater understanding of the dynamics and location of constraints to crop production that lurk in the depths of the soil profile.
