Dumped beside country road, shire has another cleanup bill
LODDON Shire has been left with another cleanup bill after rubbish was dumped near Kurting.

LODDON Shire has been left with another cleanup bill after rubbish was dumped near Kurting.
It is the latest roadside dump in the shire this year and is being investigated by police and council.
“Police were aware and council’s local laws team is continuing its investigation into the matter. No decision has been made at this stage,” a spokesperson said.
“Council encourages anyone who observes suspicious behaviour to report it to Victoria Police, or to Council during office hours, to assist with appropriate investigation and follow-up.”
Neighbours have told the Loddon Herald they spotted rubbish being dumped near Glenalbyn road late at night.
“We saw this car drive along, lights went off and they started putting their rubbish beside the road,” one said.
“They were followed and police and council alerted.”
According to council, the Kurting dumping is the eighth report of roadside litter its outdoor staff have had to remove this year.
