Dramatic collapse: contender tumbles
WEDDERBURN Band dramatically lost nine wickets for 23 on their way to a 69-run defeat against Boort Yando.

The Magpies were put in to bat after the Band won the toss, and managed 4-125 from their 20 overs.
Alex Cockerell hit 39 not out from 35 balls to top score in an innings where all batters got a start.
Openers Jarrod Hodoras (25) and Josh Smith (19) put on 27 before Smith’s rapid 16-ball innings was cut short.
James Byrne hit 21 from 14 balls at first drop and Daniel Lehman made 13 from 19 balls before being bowled by Adam Postle.
The veteran was the best of the Wedderburn bowlers, taking 1-17 from four overs.
Isaac Holt (1-18), Luke Holt (1-23) and Finn Turnbull (1-28) were also among the wickets.
At 0-33, with Isaac Holt and Turnbull batting steadily, the Band looked to be a chance, but the next six wickets fell for just six runs, with Hodoras striking with a vengeance.
He took 4-11 from four overs, knocking over the top order, including having first-drop Luke Holt LBW for a golden duck.
Eventually Wedderburn crawled to 9-56 from 20 overs, with only the two openers making more than seven runs.
The Magpies shared around the wickets, with Garry Zanker (1-0), Brian Minogue (1-7), Gus Gould (1-7) and Jack Weaver (1-16) also contributing.
Boort Yando remains top of both the overall and T20 ladders, and is all but certain to make the T20 final in January.
Wedderburn is third on both tables, having lost both the T20 and overall grand finals last season to Kingower.
