From the soothing ice from Di and Paull Gordon-Cooke’s refreshment stand to the joy and excitement of donkey rides around the grounds of the former school that now is home to the community house.
Students from Wedderburn College under the direction of Maddi Postle sang traditional and contemporary songs while the Lions club dispensed the trademark dishes of hamburgers and sausages. Stalls had home-made crafts on sale, popular with the several hundred people looking for unique gifts to give this Christmas.
Community house manager Louise Cook said the spirit of Wedderburn shined in putting the celebrations together.
