RETURNED serviceman formed a guard of honour at Calivil last Thursday in a final salute to Darby Illingworth who died on Australia Day, aged 101.
The World War Two veteran was remembered for his service to Australia and the local community at the funeral in the Calivil Hall before an RSL service at the war memorial where Ian Anderson spoke of Darby’s war service.
The guard of honour, led by piper Glenn Ray, accompanied the hearse as it left the recreation reserve.
