Deb’s artworks went on display at the town’s Coach House Gallery last week.

The gallery’s Margaret Bentley said: “This is Deb’s debut solo exhibition and we’re delighted she has chosen her former home town to display her art.

“A member of the Donaldson clan, Deb currently lives in Geelong.

“She has concentrated on developing her drawing skills in retirement, focusing on soft pastels and charcoal.”

Margaret said the exhibition featured soulful portraits of animals, from horses, birds and dogs to pandas and other exotics. Deb says she has been inspired by the natural world since growing up in the district.

The exhibition runs until Easter.
