Crowning night for supermarket
WEDDERBURN’S supermarket has been crowned National Most Outstanding Department – Liquor, of the Year at the 2026 Australian United Retailers Store Excellence Awards.
WEDDERBURN’S supermarket has been crowned National Most Outstanding Department – Liquor, of the Year at the 2026 Australian United Retailers Store Excellence Awards.
Randall’s FoodWorks was named the national champion at a gala event in Melbourne in late April.
An announcement Jack Randall said couldn’t have been more of a surprise.
“You never expect to win something like this. We don’t do it for awards,” he said.
“For us it’s about providing a customer-first experience and making changes in-store and making sure we, like our whole team, make our supermarket the best it can be.”
The supermarket is a member of the Australian United Retailers independent retailing group and was judged best in its category.
Australian United Retailers national operations manager Robert Markezic said it was a “great pleasure we congratulate the worthy winners from the 2026 Store Excellence Awards”.
“We are incredibly proud to see the fantastic results achieved by stores right across the AUR network during the past year,” he said.
