A SPIKE in reported family violence in the Loddon Shire had shown COVID lockdowns put people at risk, said Ripon MP Louise Staley.
Her comments come with the release of Independent Crime Statistics Agency data showing an 18.8 per cent increase in the Loddon for the year ended September.
Ms Staley said the data revealed the hidden cost of lockdowns as Victorians become less safe in their homes.
The total family incidents for the year ending September 2021, rose from 501 incidents in 2020 to 595.
