Companies ‘not fully engaging’
MAYOR Dan Straub believes renewable energy developers pushing some Loddon projects are “not fully engaging with our communities”.

Cr Straub said” If they are serious, they need to be talking to our communities in our communities,” he said.
According to Cr Straub, some companies may be overlooking the impact of their developments beyond the proposed project footprints.
“At the moment, you could say some have been minimal in their engagement, doing just enough to tick the boxes,” he said.
At least two companies - Potentia and European Energy - have said they will return to the Pyramid Hill district early next year for more consultation on projects at Mologa and Mincha.
Loddon Shire is part of the State Government’s a draft renewable energy zone.
VicGrid consultation on the zones closes early next year.
“Renewable energy zones are a new way to coordinate renewable energy and transmission development to deliver reliable and affordable power for Victorians as coal closes down,” the Government says.
The north-west zone also covers the VNI West route.
