Community the focus of commemoration

COMMUNITY pride and respect for the service of earlier generations has been praised by Inglewood-Bridgewater RSL sub-branch president Michael Hobson.

Mr Hobson said the attendance and participation in Tuesday’s involvement commemoration had highlighted the day’s important in the community.

Marking the 107th` anniversary of the end of World War One, the Remembrance Day service was attended by more than 60 people and involved school students reciting The Ode and In Flanders Fields.

Vietnam War veteran Mal Gilmour was among ex-servicemen and community representatives to lay wreaths.
