BELGRAVIA Leisure is still recruiting lifeguards for Loddon swimming pools this summer.
Pools at Boort, Inglewood, Mitiamo, Pyramid Hill and Wedderburn will open in a fortnight.
But pool manager has put out an SOS call for more lifeguards at Mitiamo.
It has told the community local “staffing numbers are low and without some local community champions it is going to be a tough summer ahead”.
“If your on the fence about applying submit your expression of interest anyway and our recruitment team will be in touch to answer any questions you may have.”
Belgravia Leisure regional manager Tim Free said: “We’re certainly still actively recruiting in the region. We are endeavouring to add more lifeguards to our team to ensure a safe and enjoyable Summer for all.
“We would encourage anyone with an interest to reach out. We are providing free qualifications and training so its never been easier to jump onboard and support your local pool,” he said.
Belgravia was awarded the Loddon Shire pool management contract in 2021 for three years.
A shortage of lifeguards in the first summer saw pool opening days reduced as the aquatic industry struggled to recruit and train lifeguards during COVID lockdowns.
Belgravia plans a series of summer activities and events at the five Loddon pools.
