Coliban said: "Recent extreme weather, widespread fire activity, and power outages are impacting our services in some areas.

"Your water is safe to drink. However, demand on the network during the hot conditions means we have had to adjust our treatment processes to meet demand and you may be experiencing changes to the taste and odour of your water."

Meanwhile, Coliban continues to cart water to Dunolly to fill the Clear Water Storage Facility and meet local demand. "This will not impact water quality, and the water remains safe to drink."

Coliban says customers in some parts of its network may experience low water pressure during peak periods, particular where emergency services are drawing on our network.

"We continue to monitor water and sewage services around the region and appreciate your patience as we work quickly to safely assess damage and restore impacted services."
