A PROPOSED childcare centre in Boort is still several months from opening as backers wait on registration approvals.

Mark Klose had planned to have the private centre open next month but said this week that approval was still to be received from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority.

ACACQ works with the Victorian Department of Education and Training to assess registration applications.

Mr Klose said the application was submitted last year and hoped to hear an outcome in coming weeks.
