Car breaks down on flooded road

Police have rescued a driver after their vehicle broke down on a flooded local road this morning.

Police are reporting that the person became trapped while attempting to drive through floodwater on the Bridgewater-Raywood Road.

They said no one was injured.

With Loddon communities recording more than 60mm of rain this week and falls continuing across the district police have urged motorists to drive to conditions and obey road closures and warning signs.

Water is running across several Loddon roads although no closures have been reported.
