TARNAGULLA Primary School has reflected on the achievements and successes of all students in the final days of the 2023 school year.
“In particular, it has givem us time to celebrate the end of an era for our Grade 6 students Marcus Wheater, Shiloh Bass, and Michael Callaghan,” said principal Leigh Mellberg.
“The students have had an interesting year as our capital building works commenced, displacing them into our art room. They did an admirable job of continuing their learning despite the disruptions.”
Mr Mellberg said the Grade 6 students could be very proud of their time at Tarnagulla, reflecting recently that they’d ‘…like to thank all the students and teachers for making their time here at Tarnagulla enjoyable throughout the years’.
“They have proven their resilience and would not let disruptions hold them back from achieving well academically and developing relationships with peers,” he said.
Having shared a dual role of school captain this year, Marcus and Shiloh have upheld the values of Safety First, Respect Always and Effort before Achievement as role models to our younger students.
“We celebrate the leaders that they have grown into. We wish them the best of luck in their future learning,” Mr Mellberg said.
He said the school looked forward to enjoying fresh, new facilities such as a fully accessible kitchen, newly
constructed basketball court and landscaping, an internal make-over and disability access throughout the school.
“We are proud to say that any student would be well supported in their educational journey at Tarnagulla Primary School.”
