BINS have now been delivered to all three container deposit scheme depots in the Loddon Shire.
Zone operator of the scheme that started last November, Visy, said weekly collections were being made at Boort BP, Wedderburn Hardware and Inglewood Motel and Caravan Park.
The Inglewood site received its first bins a fortnight ago.
“Each of our over-the-counter refund point operators have been supplied with a bin allocation, in line with the location’s capacity to securely store the deposited materials,” Visy said.
“Additional collection bins have been ordered and the team is working to make sure truck collections match demand.”
Sites are continuing to stop accepting returns within hours of Visy making weekly collections.
More than 98,000 containers have been returned at Loddon sites.
“We continue to work with local businesses and community groups to ensure locals can recycle their containers, with weekly scheduled collections for refund point operators across the Loddon Shire and additional collections available upon request,” Visy said.
