One resident, who is currently staying in a Bendigo motel, said he nephews had reported a surge in the rise since 8.30pm Monday.
Floodwaters had been expected to peak at Mitiamo and Calivil today
State Control Centre said Dingee peaked yesterday although there remains concern about water flowing into the Waranga Western Channel.
