Calivil's first deb ball in 30 years
CALIVIL Hall was alive when the district held its first debutante ball is almost 30 years.
Six debutantes and their partners along with a flowergirl and page boy were presented to dance instructors Richard and Jacinta Hicks along with Loddon Shire Mayor Daniel Straub and his wife Lauren.
Macs Richards became the the third generation of the Richards family to be a page boy at a Calivil deb ball. The flowergirl was Mila Lea.
The debutante set had been training for the evening over the past eight weeks. More than 200 guests watched the girls and their partners enter the hall for the presentation dances.
Debutantes and their partners were:
Gracie Noonan (Mitchell Pickering): Gracie is the daughter of Tony and Kristy Noonan of Inglewood and is currently in Year 10 at East Loddon P12 College. She also works as a waitress at the Inglewood hotel and enjoys playing netball.
Ruby Cullen (Ryder Demeo): Ruby is the daughter of David and Bec Cullen and lives in Pompapiel. She is in Year 10 at East Loddon P12 College. In addition to going to school she works casually on the family farm and also as a videographer filming senior football matches in the Loddon Valley Football Netball League. In her spare time Ruby enjoys swimming, netball and running.
Charlie Lenton (Chester Bennett): Charlie is the daughter of Jodi Hocking and Scott Lenton and lives in Dingee. She is in year 10 at East Loddon P12 College and also works at the Dingee Hotel. Charlie enjoys playing netball.
Abby Twigg (Riley Murphy): Abby is the daughter of Luke and Lisa Twigg and lives at Bears Lagoon. She is currently in Year 10 at East Loddon P12 College and she also works casually on the family farm. Abby enjoys playing netball in her spare time.
Paige Smith (Oscar Balic): Paige is the daughter of Jarad and Adelle Smith of Yarrawalla and she is currently in Year 10 at East Loddon P12 College. Paige enjoys playing netball and watching AFL football, in particular Carlton.
Teagen Vinnicombe (Aidan Roulston): Teagen is the daughter of Dehne and Sarah Vinnicombe and is currently studying Year 10 at East Loddon P12 College. In addition to going to school she also works on the family dairy farm at Calivil. Teagen enjoys playing netball for Calivil United and listening to Guns n Roses music.
