FIVE ecological burns have been confirmed for Terrick Terrick National Park.

Forest Fire Management Victoria regional fuel management co-ordinator Ben Matthews said the burns aimed to modify the vegetation structure across the planned area to assist the promotion of northern plains grasslands and the habitat of plains-wanderer birds.

A fuel reduction burn is planned near Powlett Road, Inglewood.

“This burn aims to reduce the overall amount of fuel in the landscape, which will help protect Inglewood from bushfires coming from the north,” he said
