Bridge Works
WORK has started on the first stage of the replacement of the Spring Creek bridge on the Derby-Serpentine Road.

The existing wooden bridge, closed since the October 2022 floods, will be removed and a temporary crossing to be installed before Christmas.
Loddon Shire manager flood rectification program Peter Rogers said it had been a lengthy process with the design works and compliance issues around native vegetation and with the North Central Catchment Management Authority, along with cultural heritage processes.
“We can start to move forward with the temporary crossing opening the road up just before the Christmas break which hopefully will be a great relief for the locals and people who have traditionally used the this road,” he said.
The next stage hoped to start in March or April.
