Sir, just want to put my two pounds worth in regarding our Midnight Dip (Loddon Herald report of river crash, July 14 edition).
For years I have taken every opportunity that came my way, ie Loddon Shire Council surveys, BOLD Bridgewater on Loddon Development surveys requesting the need for more bollards on the approaches to our bridge.
The car park at the hotel never looked secure to me and most, more dangerous is the Inglewood approach.
There needs to be bollards from the corner of the Kerang road to the bridge.
If a car lost control from that entrance it would most certainly end up in the river.
And if a child was in the back it could end up being drowned.
