Breakthrough win lifts club hopes
DIVISION 5 brought home a great win in Bendigo Saturday pennant bowls to boost Inglewood’s early season stocks.

Unfortunately Division 1 are still to greet the judge and in this week’s Monday pennant neither side had the best of days.
Division 4 were taken to task against Calivil who were too strong on the day and lost all rinks to record a 33 shot loss.
Best rink on the day was Doug Shay, Kevin Stewart, Wendy Wilson and Ian Bradley (skip) to only lose by six shots.
Next week Inglewood travel to Strathfieldsaye who are second on the ladder.
Division 1 had two rinks record wins but unfortunately lost the third one by a large margin and went down overall by eight shots.
Best rink on the day were Merilyn Chamberlain, David Whitehead, Pam Lewis and Arthur Harrison (skip) with an eight-shot win.
Next week Division 1 come up against the unbeaten Kangaroo Flat side at home.
In weekend pennant, Division 5 relished having a lot of players back and put in a great performance to beat Castlemaine by 12 shots.
Best rink on the day were Betty Gath, Dionne Roberts, Wendy Wilson and Brian Oughtred (Skip) with a massive 38 to 11 shot victory.
Division 1 really are struggling to trouble the opposition at the moment and need some positive
mindset to regain confidence.
Best rink on the day were Daniel Garrett, Brendan Hopcott, Arthur Harrison and Lindsay Kelly
(Skip) with a hard fought one-shot victory.
BRIDGEWATER
Both the Bridgewater sides played at home on Saturday with the Division 5 side hosting Campbell’s Creek. All the rinks were fairly even during the day with John Fagan Bob Smith Peter Short and Nick Saunders turning back the clock with a great performance on the day to score a 11-shot win for the home side. The Goldfields side managed to get the chocolates against Dunolly Green in a even tussle.
