AFL Central Victoria has knocked back the latest bid by Maiden Gully to have an under 18 team in the Bendigo league.
Moves by the junior club were rejected on Monday night when an appeal by Loddon Valley league was upheld. The commission told Loddon Valley and Bendigo leagues in a letter dated yesterday.
A pitch late last year by the senior club to put under 18s into Bendigo also fell at the last hurdle.
Maiden Gully has stood out of the Loddon Valley (AFL Central Victoria) under 18 competition for two years.
Loddon Valley has consistently said it wants the Eagles back in the local competition.
