Inglewood ladies kicked their Division 2 Pennant title defence off in fine fashion with a win over Rochester Golf Club at Marong last week,

In ladies Wednesday club results, Helen Ward led the way with Dianne Wayman taking the second shot prize at the 9th.

Sunday results saw Nathan Joyner ‘luck’ his way to victory with 39pts in the stableford event over club legend David Vanston on 37points.

Nathans ‘entertaining’ round included no less than three tee shots finding the centre of the fairway after hitting trees and a 70 metre sand wedge into the 7th hole that both never left the ground and at the same time never looked like missing.

Nathan was later heard in the clubhouse telling playing partners his luck came from shopping locally in Inglewood and surrounds. ‘Buying local brings on the luck’ he said.

The nearest the pin at the 9th cash jackpot was again won by the course and will hit the half century mark soon.
