Bidders fail to reach Coniston reserve

A 412-ACRE Fernihurst property was passed in at auction last Thursday.
Two bidders took the price to $4200 a hectare but failed to meet the reserve.

The property also has a detached one-bedroom cottage which has a shower, a toilet and an open fireplace.
“It is currently operating as a cropping and grain property but would easily convert to a livestock and fodder production property with a little tweak,” Mr Nevins said.
The property consists of mainly red loam soil types. A portion of land is sown to canola and another section has recently been lasered. Equestrian facilities include a two-hectare horse paddock and a 30 x 70-metre arena. Two water delivery shares come with the property as well as 80,000 litres of rainwater storage.
The auction was inconjunction with Nutrien.
