MORE than 100 spirited bidders sent prices high on many lots at a Kurting clearing sale on Friday.
Prospective buyers came from across the region for the sale of machinery, farm plant, mining gear and boat equipment.
Agent James Nevins, of FP Nevins and Co Inglewood, said sale prices “overall exceeded expectations and were good for the condition and age of some items.
“There was a great deal of interest and this was reflected in bidding throughout the day,” he said.
“A few lots were below expectations but then other lots more than went over estimates with bidders having their eyes on the equipment.”
A front-end loader sold for $13,800 while one John Deere tractor fetched $11,400 when the gavel dropped.
