LODDON butchers Jye and Kristy Arnold have taken no shortcuts on their way to snagging major prizes in the Australian Meat Industry Council’s regional finals.

The Boort butchers faced double the competition to win four golds after the north-west and north-east regions were amalgamated for this year’s compet-itions.

They have figured in the AMIC awards every year since taking on the business five years ago.

Results announced last week gave Jye and Kristy first for shortcut bacon, English pork sausages, Italian pork sausage and cheese Kransky.
