BEARS Lagoon Serpentine has overcome a determined Inglewood kicking with a five-goal breeze in the final term to win by 10 points in today's Loddon Valley football.
In what was the best match of the season, Inglewood had control for much of the game but allowed home side Serpentine back into the game with in the final 10 minutes of the third term.
In other matches, Newbridge has played its first game at home for the season after flood damaged the ground last October and celebrated full forward Chris Nixon's 300th game with a win over Calivil; Bridgewater was pushed by Mitiamo and Marong won by 186 points of Maiden Gully.
