A NEW campaign promoting the Loddon and Bendigo region as an autumn playground has been launched.

The campaign is being billed as the season when residents and visitors can rediscover joy through a vibrant campaign celebrating nostalgia, retro fun, and immersive experiences across the region.

Destination Greater Bendigo Loddon has put together more than 60 events and experiences to entice people to to put down their mobiles and discover a renewed connection through traditional play and the joy that it brings.

Hop, Scotch, Jump decals have been installed in Inglewood’s Brooke Street, View Street, Bendigo, and Heathcote.

The autumn campaign also has Duck and Seek challenging people to find 13 hidden ducks, each with its own number and identity at various locations in the region including Bridgewater and Kooyoora State Park.

Loddon Mayor Dan Straub said: ““This is a fantastic opportunity to explore Loddon surrounds with some exciting events such as the Rheola Charity Carnival, a Retro Paddle on the Serpentine Creek the amazing Spanner Autumn Outdoor Adventure at the Spanner Man Sculpture Garden and the chance to prospect for gold. “We’re encouraging more visitors to explore the wider region, supporting local businesses and helping grow our visitor economy.”
