Aussies leave Brit pro in third place on river
LOCAL water skier Corey Saddington has taken out the Division 1 slalom title at the Bridgewater round of the prestigious Malibu Series.

Saddington won the event against a strong field of six last weekend, with Geelong’s Alexei Werner finishing as runner up.
British professional skier Jack Critchley came third in slalom, but was successful in the Division 1 jumps contest, soaring 65.7m to beat Saddington’s 51.9m.
Critchley has jumped beyond 70m in events in the US this year, putting him among the sport’s elite. He is ranked third in the world in jumps.
NSW skier Ellouise Fletcher, at just 14, was the youngest participant in the Division 1 slalom event, with Bridgewater Ski Club president Lee Bray the oldest at 48.
Fletcher also took part in the Division 4 jumps, finishing second to her 12-year-old brother Mitchell after jumping 24.2m.
Skiers competed in six divisions, from expert to novice at the Loddon River contest, with 40 entrants overall.
Ages ranged from under 10s Charlie Aitken and Nate Spiers, to 74-year-old Brian Heys from Bridgewater, who skied in the Division 3 slalom.
