Services Australia’s Mobile Service Centre Blue Gum is supporting flood affected communities in the central and central north regions of Victoria next week, to help people claim disaster payments as well as access Centrelink, Medicare and Department of Veterans’ Affairs services.

Services Australia yesterday confirmed Blue Gum will visit:

  • Boort on Monday 31 October opposite the Information Centre, Godfrey Street (9.30am to 4.30pm)

  • Donald on Tuesday 1 November near Donald Mall, Woods Street (9:30am to 4:30pm)

  • Charlton on Wednesday 2 November in front of the Shire Office, High Street (9:30am to 4:30pm)

  • Bridgewater on Thursday 3 November near the Post Office, Eldon Street (9:30am to 4:30pm)

  • Echuca on Friday 4 November and Saturday 5 November, location TBC (9:30am to 4:30pm)

    About Mobile Service Centres

    Mobile Services Centres are 20 tonne trucks operated by staff from Services Australia, providing regional and rural Australians with friendly face-to-face service and tailored support. Staff on board this trip can also help with:

  • state flood relief information and referral

  • social work support and counselling

  • eligibility checks for other Centrelink and Medicare payments and services

  • accessing online services

  • community referrals for customers who are not naturally connected with services.

  • Information about Department of Veterans’ Affairs programs and support services will also be available.
