AUCTIONEER Doug Couper helped Boort Amity to raising more than $5000 at the club’s annual charity auction on Sunday.

Everything from books and China to wardrobes and lounge suites went under Doug’s hammer as the crowd made its way around Boort Park.

Amity president Maree Stringer said money raised would assist the club with its community projects including awards at Boort District College’s presentation evening.

Maree said it had been a busy few weeks for Amity members and other volunteer helpers.

The club also held its annual Pink night for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, raising more than $4500.
