NINE Wedderburn College students made their debut at Friday night’s ball in the Mechanics’ Institute Hall.
The girls and their partners were presented to college council president Carolyn Stephenson and Ralph Stephenson, principal Danny Forrest and Rachel Forest and parents’ association president Melinda Springthorpe and her son Lyndon.
The debutantes were Lexie Ward (partnered by Aaron Thomas), Keysya Pamboedi (Jamie Penrose), Mia Rowan (Ollie Huismann), Indi Simpson (Noah Winslet), Lillie Luckman (Jason Sanderson), Jade Cramp (Will Cunningham), Dakota Martin (Tyson Blair), Chloe Looby (Aarton Smith), Jorja Thomas (Timothy Bogwitz). Flower girls: Pippa Caruana, Lilly Hawkins, Haven Derks, Indy Williams. Page boys: Aston Steel, Jack Thomas, Sam Turnbull, Albert Postle.
Chaperones of the debutante set this year were teachers Danny Fowls, Ben Pettifer, Mark Gretgrix, Emma Milne, Kirsten Graham, and Emily Van De Wetering.
Assistant principal Dean Lockhart was MC for the presentation and the debutantes were trained by Dede Williams.
