All glory for lady golfers
The team beat Quarry Hill 2-1 in the Midweek Pennant grand final match played at Rochester Golf Club on Monday.

INGLEWOOD’S women’s pennant team are the toast of the golf club, having taken out their second successive Golf Central Victoria sandscrape title in Division 2.
The team beat Quarry Hill 2-1 in the Midweek Pennant grand final match played at Rochester Golf Club on Monday.
The Bendigo team had gone through the season undefeated overall, having lost only two individual contests while winning 10, and beating Inglewood 3-0 when they met on April 27.
But the Woodies managed to perform when it counted the most, taking home the pennant again.
Five clubs contested the season, which began on April 13, with Marong, Raywood and Rochester also taking part in the sandscrape league.
Inglewood’s Dianne Wayman defeated Chris Pearce 6/5 in the final, with Helen Ward winning 7/6 over Bev Robinson from Quarry Hill. Carol Canfield lost her match 7/6, with Marlene Lamprell in reserve as Inglewood’s fourth player.
