INGLEWOOD’S major annual day-long festival bounces back from a four-year hiatus on Sunday.
Brooke Street will be packed with activities ranging from woodchop and vintage tractors and classic cars.
The main street’s famous food stalls will be augmented with pop-up food vans towed in from across the Loddon while streetside displays and live music will add to the ambience of the street’s renowned antique stores.
Inglewood Development and Tourism has taken on the baton of returning the event last held in 2019.
“From smaller beginnings the organising committee has big plans to rebuild the event to offer an even bigger program over the next couple of years,” said one of the organisers Anne-Marie Davis. “The Inglewood Alive Festival has been running since 2012 when it first started with the tireless efforts of the Inglewood Lions Club, and later Inglewood Alive Inc and grew into a much anticipated event on the Inglewood community calendar.
“The baton has been passed to the Inglewood Development and Tourism Committee in 2023 to organise the event and a working group was established to bring the day together.”
Anne-Marie said the return of the Inglewood Alive Festival had seen fantastic support from locals, community groups and businesses and “we expect a great response from locals as well as visitors”. “This is a great opportunity for our community to reconnect after a tough few years ”
