Alison Dean has spent the past two weekends preparing the annual Christmas Wonderland in readiness the arrival of families to enjoy the country light show.
“I’ve still one or two new features to make but they should be ready by Saturday night,” Alison said at the weekend as she put festive decorations in place.
Alison said the highlight of Christmas Wonderland would be the visit of Santa Claus on December 20.
“He’ll be dropping in at Mysia for half an hour ... it’s always anticipated by the children,” she said.
Alison is also incorporating a games space in the wonderland this year.
“Traditional games that will add to the fun for families visiting to see the lights and Christmas themes,” she said.
The annual Christmas Wonderland raises money for the Royal Children’s Hospital through the Uncle Bob’s Club.
For people travelling between Boort and Wedderburn, Alison is adjusting her Mysia corner countdown clock to Christmas. Today it will be 20 days.
