11 units tackle hay truck fire

Fire brigades had finished mopping up after a hay truck ignited at Eddington this morning (Thursday)

More than 10 units from district brigades were called to the fire on Bendigo-Maryborough Road.

It took them more than two hours as flames spread through stubble to declare the fire scene safe.

Volunteers were on the scene until early afternoon mopping up.

Today is a day of total fire band for the Northern Country, including Loddon communities.
