HARVEST activity was ramping up in Victoria, Graincorp said this week.
The company said sites in the northern Mallee, north-east and Swan Hill regions were now underway.
“Meanwhile, activity in the Wimmera and central regions of Victoria is beginning to build, with some barley and canola receivals trickling in,” it said
Graincorp said that to provide growers with greater flexibility in their storage and marketing options, it had made a significant update to its free storage period for this year’s winter crop receivals, extending it until June 30.
Receivals in Victoria last week totalled 109,600 tonnes. Total delivery for the season to date is 121,300 tonnes.
