Update: late afternoon storms have dumped up to 100mm in southern parts of the Loddon.
The torrential rains left people huddling under verandahs waiting for a break in Inglewood.
Big ponds are beside long stretches of the Calder Highway.

THERE'S been plenty of water tipped out of gauges after storms across the Loddon last night.
The heaviest reports to date have been 100mm around Yarrawalla while at Pyramid Hill the total rainfall was 75mm.
The storms again saw multiple lightning strikes start fires around the Loddon.
There are forecasts of more storms across the Loddon rolling in from 2pm and continuing until early morning tomorrow.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding.
